The film will resonate universally. Elevator music, and how annoying it is, is something that many people can emphasise with. It will be predominantly aimed at a 16-35 year old audience as they will appreciate the dark comedic genre of the film.
Techniques for positioning audience
I use misc-en-scene with the Walkman to effectively communicate how Jack loves music. This reinforces how important his hearing is to him - therefore making it more poignant when he looses it to elevator music.
